About the Partnerships and Communications Team
The Partnerships and Communications team builds strong, values-driven relationships with donors. Led by Courtney Evans Henke, the team cultivates connections with individuals, foundations, and corporations to ensure the organization has the resources to support our programmatic activities and advance our mission. They manage the entire journey of a partnership, handling everything from initial research and proposal writing to final reporting.
To do this effectively, the team works hand-in-hand with colleagues in finance, MERL, and country programs to translate complex program data into meaningful updates that keep supporters engaged and informed.
The Role

In this role, you will manage projects and deliverables that support LMH’s fundraising, donor engagement, and stewardship goals. You will lead and coordinate critical fundraising processes, including funder prospect research, donor meeting preparation and briefings, concept notes and proposals, due diligence, and other donor-facing deliverables. You will also support donor visits, events, conferences, and other engagement opportunities.
You will work closely with colleagues across the Partnerships & Communications team, particularly the Senior Director of Partnerships, as well as LMH’s senior leadership and programmatic teams. You will be a trusted partner to organizational leaders, helping them prepare for and navigate engagement with current and prospective funding partners.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, proactive project manager who is comfortable working across teams and engaging senior leaders. You will bring strong judgment to prospect and opportunity vetting, develop recommendations for prioritizing funding opportunities and associated cultivation strategies, and independently manage multiple workstreams from initiation through completion.
You will also coordinate donor due diligence and concept note and proposal development across teams, ensuring that the right people are engaged at the right time and that high-quality deliverables are produced on schedule.
This role is remote and open to candidates located in the Eastern Seaboard of the United States with US work authorization.
What You’ll Do
Serve as a project manager for core Partnerships & Communications team functions including:
- Donor prospect research, including the development of prospect briefings and recommendations
- Donor deliverables, including but not limited to concept notes, proposals, pitches, and due diligence (including planning site visits).
- Recommend and implement as requested individualized cultivation strategies for select funding partners, demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills with LMH leaders and other internal colleagues.
- Manage donor stewardship activities, leading internal processes to prepare colleagues to engage in stewardship activities
- Support and prepare LMH leaders and colleagues to attend events and conferences to recognize and motivate current and prospective donors. Examples include Skoll World Forum, UNGA week, World Health Assembly. Make recommendations for LMH attendance at conferences or events to drive business development strategies.
Implement and improve processes to advance LMH’s funding portfolio:
- Consistently implement LMH’s project and knowledge management processes and practices.
- Identify and lead efforts to integrate DEI considerations into business development efforts and decisions.
- Ensure consistent use of Salesforce for prospect and pipeline data entry & reporting, and revenue projections.
- Implement and adhere to LMH Standard Operating Procedures for partner vetting, opportunity vetting, and proposal development; recommend improvements to these processes.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred, such as Public Health, Public Policy, Business, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear, compelling, audience-focused materials for donors and for internal stakeholders.
- Experience managing the development of external-facing deliverables, with strong project management skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate multiple contributors, establish clear roles and timelines, anticipate decision points, and work backward from deadlines to keep projects on track.
- Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to build effective relationships across teams, cultures, and backgrounds in a high-performing, collaborative environment.
- An entrepreneurial and solutions-oriented approach: you proactively identify challenges, propose solutions, manage next steps, anticipate risks, and course-correct when needed.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities without sacrificing quality or follow-through.
- A responsive, service-oriented approach to working with colleagues, with a commitment to providing timely, clear, and helpful information.
- Ability to reflect on how identity and equity shape decisions and interactions, and to receive, reflect on, and act on feedback related to identity and equity.
- Experience using Google Workspace and Salesforce.
You’ll impress us if you have
- Experience working with philanthropy, institutional donors and/or managing donor cultivation and stewardship strategies.
- Experience leading proposal development and/or donor reporting.
- Familiarity with global public health NGOs.

The Band for this position: USA-3
For the United States, the range is an annual gross of $72,812 USD to $91,602 USD, dependent upon experience doing an equivalent role. Please note that compensation is subject to statutory taxes.
