About the role
Aga Khan University seeks a Karachi-based Research Associate in Paediatrics and Child Health to support clinical, academic and educational work in genomic medicine. Duties include assisting genetics clinics, analysing genomic data, drafting funding proposals, conducting research, contributing to publications, building collaborations, and delivering genomics education. A bachelor’s degree in Human Genetics or a related field is required; a master’s is preferred.
Key requirements
- • Bachelor of Sciences in Human Genetics or a related field (Masters Preferred)
- • At least 1 year of relevant experience
- • Required skills: Experience in NGS data interpretation, Basic knowledge of bioinformatics, Experience with patient management, Understanding of the complexities of genetics in clinical settings, Genomic data analysis, Research proposal drafting, Research and publication support, Academic collaboration, Genomics education and workshop delivery
